2008 Event Schedule  

31 July-3 August - NEMF (Northeast Mycological Foray) Samuel Ristich Foray, Connecticut College, London, Connecticut.  RET will be on staff and provide a lecture. [ link ] 10-13 August - MSA (Mycological Society of America) annual meeting in State College, Pennsylvania.  RET will attend. [ link ] I'm looking forward to a very interesting paper to be presented by Ben Wolfe (Anne Pringle's lab, Harvard) that demonstrates the probable nonmycorrhizal status of basal species in Amanita's (probably) basal section --- Lepidella. This paper combines molecular phylogeny, biochemistry, and morphological taxonomy. A very neat package. 21-24 August - COMA (Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association) Clark Rogerson Foray, Moodus Resort, Moodus, Connecticut.  RET will be on staff. [ link ] 4-7 September - NAMA (North American Mycological Association) foray in McCall, Idaho.  RET will attend and is looking for good stopping/foraying sites between central New Jersey and McCall. [ contact ] [ link ] 26 October - NJMA (New Jersey Mycological Association) foray in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, New Jersey.  RET will be foray leader. [ link ]
